If you look closely at Haydon Farm, you will see what I mean by there only being just enough room for the loop. The problem with a normal fork, despite the land being available, is that a bigger bridge would be needed, and the existing bridge just south of J25A would need demolishing and replacing. It would also pass quite close to some houses just visible in the far SW of the map - so the extra cost would have little benefit.

Also note how there is only one carriageway on the road to the existing dual carriagway - the road will be singled, with the old carriageway being converted into a foot/cycle path.

The A303/A358 junction will be a dumbbell junction. Note how that there will be a short multiplex between the existing roundabot (to be retained) and the new junction. I'm not sure if the old A358 will pass under the new road, or be closed off to traffic.
